It terrifies me how vulnerable lots of software still is. Fuzzing image viewers a couple years back with BFF was enlightening.

At least since the time when BFF was released, many Windows apps have gotten better with exploit mitigations (e.g. ALSR in every module). Which prevents the ability to take an output from BFF, slap shellcode on it, and end up with code execution. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
