Now that I more intelligently downloaded a very large pile of Android apps, I can do things like sort apps by Google Play install count. e.g. if I wanted to redo SSL validation testing, I could do them in order of installs. CM Launcher 3D is vulnerable, and has over 100M installspic.twitter.com/x7EzoYwXwX

Or Kingsoft WPS Office. It has over 100M installs, and it doesn't validate any of the HTTPS connections it makes. I get the impression that secure HTTPS isn't a priority in China, where perhaps other priorities such as ability to monitor traffic could be a higher priority.pic.twitter.com/ZNCAilpjFN

WiFi Master Key is a Chinese app that has over 100M installs on Android. It doesn't validate HTTPS connections. For those playing along at home, is anybody detecting a pattern here?pic.twitter.com/GHrZIstuD3

My statistically non-significant sample set says "yes" For a more thorough set, that'll have to wait until I fire the full automation back up again. I'm not testing 2.5M apps by hand. :)
