Sometimes I wish @googlechrome security team would be more transparent about their decisions. Seems they changed plans regarding Symantec, but have never announced that.

As far as I can see this is their latest blogpost on the Symantec issue https://security.googleblog.com/2018/03/distrust-of-symantec-pki-immediate.html … It's pretty clear in saying that with Chrome 70 all Symantec certs will be distrusted and that will be released 16th of October.

Yet testing Chrome 70 downloaded today it still accepts Symantec certs. They may have their reasons to change the timeline, but it would've been nice if you made a clear announcement and change it to say so publicly.
