Why don't USB-C hubs seem to exist? e.g. I plug in one USB-C connection, and I get 4 USB-C ports. Is there a technical reason why this cannot happen, or is it that nobody has USB-C devices yet, and thus there's no demand?

I suspect it's partially due to the power output requirements of the spec. There are three different power specifications and no current markings for what the ports support. Gen public will probably try to plug in 12v and 20v devices into a 5v hub.

I just looked for 10 minutes. Impressed I could not find literally a single such product. Wowsers.

The closest thing I can find is this Belkin product with USB-C in and 2xUSB-C + 2xUSB-A out. https://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F4U090/

I think there is not enough demand yet. There is no technical reason why it can't be built. Micro USB still dominates the market.

I've been looking for a two port USB-C PD charger that can charge a laptop + phone for a while now. I suspect power requirements are to blame.
