That's only on O365, and if you're in the Monthly channel, and as of June 2018. If you're in the later channels (and you probably are if a business) it's later.

True, am on it and but yes the half yearly channel would get in Jan 2019. It's good they anticipated the worst of flash sooner than later and here we go with this one

Microsoft included Flash 6 with Windows XP. I figured that they realized that it was a mistake since none of the following versions of Windows didn't. And then Windows 10 happened. I wonder what changed?

I don't know how truthy it is, or if we'll ever find out. There are theoretical advantages - e.g. MS can deliver Adobe updates.

That's an advantage if everyone wants/has Flash. Otherwise, it's as welcome as bundling Candy Crush.

Was being specific to http://office.As an OS, yes the problem still exists and it extends to Mac too

Office is a great transportation mechanism for delivering payloads and that mechanism is cut for the bad guys and it's huge.

As of today, protected mode stops almost all of the bad stuff but then the users have butter fingers and with no second thought click on enable or yes always. That's the whole problem. And MS has to probably tweak something on that aspect..More prompts or blanket block???

"More prompts" shifts the onus of keeping a system safe to the end user. Which IMO is not a good idea.
