is there a rust vscode plugin that gives me the same kind of type-aware autocomplete I get with typescript or ocaml? ie: if I type a . or a :: on the right of a symbol it lists the members of that type
You have to look at the status bar to make sure it's loaded in though. For large projects, RA takes a while to start up.

It also won't activate on a file that's not part of the project. ie if you just make a random scratch `http://foo.rs ` in an existing project, without adding a `mod foo;` in `http://main.rs ` or wherever, it gets rust syntax highlighting only.
