anyone else often have the experience of starting to work out how to fuzz something, and then find a bunch of bugs before even getting to the actual fuzzing part?

I seem to recall there being a study with a recommender that pointed to random lines saying there's a bug that caused a bunch of bugs to be found. Maybe circa 2010-ish?
