Your code is gonna be harder to follow if it's spread across five functions and three files. Yes, things like IDE tooling can help with that, but it's still worse overall. (And not everybody uses an IDE.)

Neat! I wonder how this scales to more complicated codebases. In contexts with lots of functions, how do you decide which functions deserve bubbles?
The thing that vscode does of showing you the definition of an identifier when you hover over it seems like it captures some of this, but it's not wholly satisfying.
