Love to see more innovation in PL courses :-) I think Rust is such an effective motivator because students have such a terrible time learning C. What was your biggest lesson / aspect to improve for the next iteration?

I think you, Justin Hsu [1], and I have been converging on a similar overall organization for a modern PL course! I think biggest thing I want to improve on is just more scaffolding and direct instruction around doing things like "turn these inference rules into code" early on.
