Durable one-shot docs to human absorption is the dream. It might be an abstraction design <-> learnability issue? Eg compostjs is a super chunkable in my mind compared to d3 at first glance. Imo there's a HUGE untapped research space about documentation. Treat it as a proper educational endeavor. How can we make docs contextualized & interactive without huge effort from the authors?
I wonder if there are simple refactorings or design patterns that could elevate 80% of docs to the caliber of the top 20%. And if the effort fails perhaps the library itself sucks lol. Not talking about deep know-how/writing style, but tricks that could even be automated
Also I like what @tscepo appears to be doing with https://metacode.app/ : natural language of google but tailor made for code search, cutting out the middleman of SO.
