Thinking in terms of 'hand written' vs 'derived' structures in programming. Hand written = source code. Derived = runtime values, expanded macros, instantiated generic types. The visibility into derived info is remarkably poor. Doubly sad this includes *statically* derived info.

Are there languages/systems which make browsing/searching the statically derived structures as easy as browsing the hand written ones? Are there any that even define a syntax/notation for displaying the derived structures?
