PL Twitter: is there research out there studying query languages (e.g. SQL) from a PL perspective? I'm particularly interested in languages for time series data, but also generally interested in what results PL researchers have found in this domain.
My group at Stanford is working on query languages for spatiotemporal data. See our AI Systems @ SOSP'19 paper. https://arxiv.org/abs/1910.02993 It's not PL work in the traditional sense, but a core focus is identifying useful, compositional primitives for many interesting queries.
