Asking for a student: what institutions (aside from @BeeldenGeluid) have developed interesting interfaces / discovery tools for their online *public broadcasting* (i.e., radio/tv) archives? Looking to share specific examples!
My group at Stanford has been working with the Internet Archive to analyze 200,000 hours of cable TV news footage. We have a big database and are working on setting up some tools to support discovery, e.g. these super basic transcript analysis: http://esper-tv.stanford.edu/
