    Great news!! Update from Jim on June 4th, about 3 weeks after fledging. Hickory and Pignut are still in our backyard being fed by their parents. This photo was about 20 yards from the nest tree.

    Hickory branched last night! 🦉

    It's the moment we've all been waiting for! The elder owlet Hickory branched—left the nest box to perch on nearby branches/ trees—at 8:42 PM on May 13 after 34 days in the nest box.
