With all due respect the same day weigh in should never be allowed . It’s medical and science . Losing weight on the day of the fight can be tragic as encephalic fluid is lost … weight management is what is needed. No crazy procedures like this video nor others commonly used

Having the official weigh ins the day of the bout will virtually eliminate this terrible procedure. We need to shorten the time space for recovery to normal, this will reduce the need to radically dehydrate.

Weight and dehydration are the cause of most if not all fatal accidents in boxing and contact sports.
