so i can't see what you're thinking or imagining, but when you translate those thoughts and ideas into words, suddenly we can share a common sight. the better you are at translating your spirit reality into this reality, the better you can get people to see the world as you do.

the thing about words is that when you break them down, they're just a bunch of images strung together to make more images, to which we have assigned meaning. the letter "a", for example, is just an image. it has no meaning until we give it meaning.

which meansssss i can create literally any image and assign it an arbitrary meaning by sheer force of my will. and we do this all the time.

so words are 1) bridges between realities and 2) images made up of other images. there's are third thing words are: power.

remember, across all my work, i define power as, simply the ability to create change. it's not difficult to see where i'm going here. words have the ability to create change and *are* the ability create change.

i write this all to say that not only can we—me and you brilliant spirits reading this—use words to transform our realities, but that we *already* do this *all the time*.

words are spirit, power, and material. that is, though they may be sometimes unseen, they create change, and most importantly for the purposes of this lil lesson: they take up space.

why is it important that we understand words can take up space? because, my brilliant voidworkers and fellow students of #voidwork, if we're shaping and forming voids we have to be aware of what words we're using to hold and fill those voids.

this is how thoughts and prayers and spells work. this is how chants work. this is how meditations and mantras work. this is how song and melody work. we take words and use them to create the realities of sight, sound, taste, touch, and hearing we need.

this is how we build worlds, and what worlds we weave with words indeed!

now, moving into praxis: we can shape future realities by drawing them into these now-realities through words. we already do this all the time, unconsciously.

so what happens when we intentionally draw forth future realities with our spirit words? a really important thing: we create a void. and y'all know how i feel about voids!

the void exists between what we're creating and what actually exists. and the more persistent you are, the more antsy that void gets. the words and images we create together bring these worlds together. that void wants to fill.

see that's the nature of the void—to fill—because nature cannot stand a void. and i could not tell you for the life of me how this works, so i encourage you to try this for yourself.

create a future that you believe you reach¹, but that is not yet here. conjure the image in your imagination, and describe it as clearly as you can with your words. type it up, write it down, make it material. ___ ¹ don't be ridiculous unless you believe your ridiculous exists!

boom. step one done: you've created a void. step two is to hold that void, meaning make your future so clear that you will know exactly what does and does not fit that void and receive or deflect accordingly.

the caveat, of course, is time. and time is such a brutal force, love. but you can soften it by being in community with people who can remind you that the thing you're waiting for is coming because you are holding the void.

there is no magic to this, babe. you can ask all the members of my tribe who have done their own voidwork. the void always fills, but you have to know its shape by describing it with words and images so you can hold it open to fill with what you've already seen.

make the void. and hold it. it will always fill.

i've wrapped this esoteric work up into a more grounded, practical, 21-day course. i called it Beastmode 2020 (if you know, you know!), and i've reworked it for 2021. i'll announce it and other thangs in a few weeks.
