JavaScript is an end point, and by "end point", I mean the end of civilization as web developers try to get JavaScript to run on and replace absolutely everything.
-
It's okay - there's a lot of people who seriously think stuff like this is a good idea, hence the joke. Some of them liked the original.

Finally, you've said something I can get behind.

I was joking

I liked and then unliked JavaScript is great, unironically. Specifically post-ES6
-
JavaScript is getting _better_, but I'm still using it just because of its dominance in the browser. Once C# is a go I'd like to try that out instead. I also definitely don't want JavaScript replacing C for Linux, because it flat out _does not make sense_. It's a bad idea.
-
Ah yeah I mean I just liked it cause it said "javascript is good" I didn't even really think about that part

While I agree that JavaScript is lame (I was joking in my tweet), those floating point errors happen in general with a lot of languages. You generally don't want to check for equivalency due to imprecision

I wonder what the potential use cases are for this. Also cool to see more WebASM out in the wild.

Unless designing a browser game or something similar, I'd use literally any other language before Javascript. But I would love to see what the end result of Javascript Linux would look like lol.
