    Joseph told us after surgery, "Nobody was willing to employ me, they thought I would die soon. I am happy I can now be seen as a normal person in society. Thank you Watsi and to the surgeon who performed my surgery." 7/

    Some good news: this week 9 donors finished raising $471 for Joseph's surgery and we couldn't be prouder to help him on his way to brighter days ahead. 6/

    Joseph now works in the local farms and gardens and enjoys planting. He dreams of being able to have a big farm and grow lots of vegetables, corn, and millet if he can get healthy. 5/

    Joseph has always been hard working & resilient. His father died of an illness when he was young. He dropped out of school in Grade 4 b/c his mother remarried and they didn’t have money for school. He began to work in farms to help get enough for his daily needs like food. 4/

    When we first met Jospeh, he shared that he's most disturbed by the way people stare at him. He's a very practical young man and said before his surgery that he was looking forward to going back to his farm and working hard to have a good crop and harvest, and have a good life.3/

    Before coming to our partner hospital earlier this year, 19-year-old Joseph had given up on the possibility of getting treated. After a road accident, he developed a very large mass on his abdomen. Joseph had gone to other doctors to help, but everyone said it wasn’t operable. 2/

    for helping patients around the world get needed healthcare. Procedures common in developed countries allow them to get back to school, work, and caring for their families. It is the most effective leverage you can get on even small donations to help people in real need.

    Can you join in with today to support Tra's surgery? Let's get his case funded and show 2020 that kindness and people coming together for good makes our world go round 💙

    Help me show a little kindness by funding Tra's surgery through :) Tra is a 43-year-old seafood vendor from Cambodia whose surgery has been pending funding since May. It would be amazing to see this fully funded by the end of this year!
