I was born into the 1957 H2N2 pandemic. It persisted for 10 years before mutating into H3N2 pandemic, 1968-1970. Few people remember 13 continuous years of pandemic because, in contrast to present insanity, we carried on as usual. Presidents were Ike (R), JFK/LBJ (D), Nixon (R).
