As the coronavirus death toll reaches 100,000, the U.S. is not united in mourning. Instead, divisions are more obvious than ever.https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/national/100000-deaths-american-coronavirus/ …

These 100,000 are not nameless numbers. They are, overwhelmingly, elderly — in some states, nearly two-thirds of the dead were 80 or older. They are disproportionately poor and black and Latino. https://wapo.st/3eiajKq pic.twitter.com/aRYmhPuExm

The demise of these 100,000 people has had strangely little public impact in a country with a long history of honoring its fallen and committing to common cause in their memory.http://wapo.st/3eiajKq

ridiculous...There are so many on that list who would have not thought of a year ago that they would be dead. Our government has failed us!

I was born into the 1957 H2N2 pandemic. It persisted for 10 years before mutating into H3N2 pandemic, 1968-1970. Few people remember 13 continuous years of pandemic because, in contrast to present insanity, we carried on as usual. Presidents were Ike (R), JFK/LBJ (D), Nixon (R).

Please tell me this is satire. Nobody can be this dumb. Cuomo had nothing to do with it. The disease spread like wildfire among people who were Already. Living. In. Nursing. Homes, brought in by workers or family members.
