Perspective: For Nancy Pelosi and the new women in Congress, fashion was a defiant statement of purpose — and resistancehttps://wapo.st/2CO5yIM

When is your article about the male politicians’ fashion choices going to be published?

Quite the accomplishment. An outfit where not a single piece of garment is the right fit and none of them actually work well with any of the others.

Fashion? ARE YOU KIDDING!!!! This is offensive. Speaker Pelosi and the women of Congress deserve to be treated with respect and not minimized by what they are wearing. Do you have a similar story about what the men are wearing? This is not some foolish red carpet!

I couldn’t care less about congresswomen’s outfits. Shall we talk about what they aim to accomplish? If not, perhaps some coverage for congressmen’s choice of attire? So bold in his navy suit and RED tie! What must it mean?? Give me a break.

We have an historic number of women in this Congress, a twice-elected woman Speaker, more women and men of color, more LGBTQ persons, and you are writing about WHAT THE WOMEN WORE?

Because Omar was allowed to wear her hijab, Haaland wore traditional Navajo dress to honor her ancestry and Ocasio-Cortez wore white to honor the Suffragettes. It isn't a who are you wearing piece!
