Ozark Mountains. I grew up in a tiny trailer off a dirt county road, we had a pump well. I rode the bus with the kids from “tent city” nearby. They often came by to use our well. No water, no electricity, living in tents in America in 1989. Not much has changed.

The "Roaring Twenties" had a constant problem of unemployment and homelessness. Anti-Union republican congress made sure economic rewards stayed with the top 10% or 1%. Depression built on this ignored problem. Unions fought back in the 30's to earn decent wages.
