When revising material I wrote while inebriated or tired, I often find issues with organization or clarity, but I rarely have to scrap the whole thing. This indicates to me that—in order to increase my output—I should write many, many more words, regardless of circumstance.
And yes, I’m aware of the irony of writing tweets about writing when I should just...be writing.
