A roundrect is G1, but not G2 (continuous curvature, one step beyond agreeing tangents at the subcurve join points). “Continuous” here means G2 (up to raster aliasing).
So, the 2nd derivatives agree too? Just checked with my own rasteriser and I see no issues with plain old rounded rects.
The radii of curvature, which can be expressed in terms of the 2nd derivatives, agree. Whether or not it’s an “issue” is a matter of taste. G2 curves are used in Apple software because they more nearly match the curves of the hardware.
