Ah, I overlooked the fact that you were asking about the NaNs specifically. Yeah, if the data isn’t actually an array of floats, you’ll sometimes see spurious values in that view.

Speaking of nans: If an image thats the result of a convolution operation returns values inspected as nans, is that generally .. accurate?
