Pokémon Go has the worst onboarding experience I’ve ever seen on a major mobile game.
The whole service is off to a rough start. It made me log in with 2FA about ten times, and content doesn’t load when in motion.

You also have to pick a globally unique username at random, with no warnings of collisions.

Yeah, getting punted out and having to tap three times to try *yet again* is infuriating. And, no hyphens or underscores!

Ah, good to know. Turns out I had a Pokémon Club ID from years ago that looks like it'll work if I can recover the password...
