      @mahalis Utilitarianism is harsh when you’re on the sharp end. But a car should minimize loss of life and I’ll bet my life on that assertion

      @warrenm …which means that in aggregate more people will die from sticking with the non-automated cars they perceive to be safer.

      @mahalis Over the short term. The steady state yields fewer fatalities as adoption becomes universal regardless of such hesitation.

      @warrenm I’m not convinced of the inevitability of universal adoption. Absent external pressure (e.g. insurance premiums), could well stall.
