@warrenm posix_memalign is the droid you’re looking for
Prevailing concern is whether malloc issues page-aligned mem for large allocs (seems to, but it’s unnerving it doesn’t behave as documented)

@benstiglitz I’m acquainted with it, but why prefer it over vm_allocate, mmap, or even malloc? -
