      @concreteniche Spurious argument. They shipped an OpenGL ES on the Simulator that had relatively awful perf.

      @concreteniche Literally all of Quartz 2D *could* be implemented in Metal, but it would be a major effort, especially text.

      @warrenm I wonder if an Apple TV or more dedicated Apple games device came if a Mac would ship with an A8+ chip inside for development.

      @warrenm My silly pie in the sky idea is a new Apple device where the graphics card is replaced by an A8 chip and the Intel CPU stays.

      @concreteniche That architecture doesn’t make sense; you don’t want a SoC as a GPU. But I’d indeed love to see an ARM-based Apple notebook.

          @warrenm Yes probably not! The A8 CPU would be for system tasks and recompiled apps, Intel for compatibility. Prob not poss/sensible
