@warrenm thanks for the retweet about vector assets! Have to try this!
@tomiq It’s a very good idea, both for ease of production and future-proofing. Most people aren’t aware of the full power of asset catalogs.

@warrenm I’m just wondering how good it will look. Often it is still necessary to adjust the vectors to pixel boundaries for every size -
@tomiq Right, this definitely appeals to laziness, but you always have the option of breaking out into PNG assets where it matters. -
@warrenm Actually that’s pretty good. You can default to PDF and use PNG where needed. Can we access the rendered PNGs for verification? -
@tomiq Sure, they’re rasterized and copied to the app bundle at build time, at least on iOS. -
@warrenm perfect. So I can go through the app bundle and check all the images if they look good enough. -
@tomiq Just don’t forget that 3x will also go through iP6+’s down-scaler, so bundled image != view shown on device’s screen. -
@mrudokas sure, everything goes through the down-scaler. But I believe this is not much of an issue with a 400+ DPI screen.

@apontious@tomiq Fire at will, Compiler! -
@warrenm@apontious asset catalogs even support size classes. Have you ever tried this?
