@warrenm I am curious if“not accidentally converting” is a good reason to leave the type off as much as possible with let and var statements
Swift requires you to be much more explicit about your floating-point <-> integer conversions. This is a good thing.

@mistermichael Probably, though there are some sharp edges around exactly what you get when you say 0.0001 (CFloat? CDouble? NSNumber?) -
@warrenm The book said that’s a Double. I haven’t seen anything about NSNumber anywhere. -
@mistermichael Right, should’ve expressed that as “what do you expect” rather than “what you get”. The difference is what causes surprise. -
