IMO, the failure of @iAWriter to expose font settings even as a user default is an example of arrogance rather than adherence to principle.
@iAWriter Your argument doesn't cover my use case. I want to write in greater privacy on public transit.

@iAWriter Sure, but if I in the privacy of my home could just say "defaults write com.iawriter TypefaceName Menlo", etc., I'd be happy.
