Out of curiosity, do you get your sample 3D models from repositories like TurboSquid? I’m not too comfortable with Blender (besides the very basics).

I try to use “free” (public domain and Creative Commons) models as much as possible. TurboSquid and Sketchfab have a ton of great content, but often don’t allow redistribution or derivative works.

Thanks. Any central website or repo, or do you find BT’s and pieces here and there through Google?

The latter. Morgan McGuire and Kenyan Crane both maintain useful collections with clear licensing, though: http://casual-effects.com/data/ https://www.cs.cmu.edu/~kmcrane/Projects/ModelRepository/ …

I’m so glad you are writing for http://metalbyexample.com again! There is such a lack of learning resources for Metal, especially beyond the beginner level. I find the information you provide invaluable!
