Anyone have any Metal experience? My project seems to waste/leak memory at a crazy rate in release mode - nearly 0.1MB per second! I’ve tracked it down to this one line. If I comment it out, the growth stops. Of course so does rendering: commandBuffer.present(currentDrawable)
My understanding is that the debug/capture layers are essentially enabled via environment variables, so I’d expect them to be tacitly disabled when archiving. @PlanetSeth?

The build type is not relevant, the layers are only enabled when running from Xcode, or forcing on via the environment variables.
