Good question. It’s certainly not IOSurface in general. I don’t have the latest source, but the only thing that looks fishy is the use of the long-deprecated kIOSurfaceIsGlobal key. The developer should have received a list of offending symbols.
kIOSurfaceIsGlobal is available but deprecated, but also sort of a strange flag to see on iOS - who would use an interprocess surface on iOS?
