I’m sorry for the way I chose to react to the news about Github yesterday, for disrupting people’s use of my projects, and for speaking rudely to some of you. I can’t undo all the damage I did, but I’m going to work to rebuild what I can.

seriously though - your commits are still distributed all over the place, is the fuss over MS owning the social aspect (PRs with animated gifs)? or github issues? or the storage? for me it was a place to store commits for free. still will be, right?
It was an emotional reaction more than anything. I don’t anticipate much changing from a user perspective. It’s still a good place to host code and collaborate.
