Misleading stats. How many choose to be unemployed due to the demands of military life or due to spouse deployment? Gonna need more info.

Wrong, official unemployment rate only takes into account those seeking work. Hundreds of stories on this during the recession - about how the unemployment rate was much higher than published due to people ceasing participation in even attempting to find work

16% is likely a low /guesstimate/average and taken in a snapshot of time- reality: Many spouses do not have the ability to work at all due to quick home and school turnover which could be 6 months- this issue as it appears has not been framed properly
