    This is insane. According to the initial press release Falcon had product in 80% of California dispensaries, yet couldn't produce audited finacial statements?

    Harvest Health & Recreation, an Arizona-based multistate marijuana operator, on Wednesday said it has filed a federal lawsuit against Falcon International seeking to terminate its merger agreement with the California-based company.

    If you back out quantity from ASP of product per gram of cannabinoid for the market leaders you get some pretty small numbers compared to what's coming off the field. Where is it all going?

    It just doesn't take very much acreage. Even after accounting for the ultra high failure rate from unstable genetics, and lack of common knowledge. Price compression has been observed in wholesale markets, but retail seems stubbornly high.

    But with all of the biomass I've personally seen coming off the field, plus the additional biomass I haven't seen, and with the processing capacity I've both witnessed and helped build, I cannot understand how retail prices have remained so sticky?

    Just spent time with several clients in the cannabis and industrial hemp industries. The lack of reliable (improving) market data was a recipe for price anchoring. The USDA framework has the potential to derail the neat curve I've forecasted ....

    Coming out the other side with a compelling long is low probability, finding something unique also fairly low probability. But it is fun to imagine getting the mortgage crisis or Enron right, and therein lies the risk of looking for an answer others have already made for me.

    The responses to this thread seem high. Many commenters north of 10%, I'm shocked that level of conviction is common in seed stage investing. You'd think the opposite eg 100 $100,000 checks in a $10mm fund.

    Seed VCs: What is the highest % you invested into a single portfolio company across stages from any given fund? I’ll start: 7.5%.
