Seriously though, this is a very real issue. No sooner have I started reading anything vaguely philosophical do I start mentally listing everything I should have read before, in chronological order, all the way back to the Old Testament

There are people here who have jumped straight in at Fanged Noumena or A Thousand Plateaus and you have to ask: "Did you really understand what you were reading? Did you really?"
