I had a friend whos family were vegetarians. One time I went for dinner the mom made me a burger. It was awful but I ate it too be nice. She asked if I liked it so I said it was great. She then laughed and said "hahah its a veggie burger you couldn't tell" do you approve of this?
This is kind of besides the point, but vegetarian substitutes for meat are generally terrible and there are plenty of ways to eat well without imitating the meat products you are substituting. Well done on you for being polite, though
