I'm not sure how to phrase this: much of art which is transgressive, which takes every liberty afforded to it by society to its logical extreme; which presents progressivism in its literal form, is usually morally conservative

'The Curious Case of Tory Anarchism' has a lot on Chris Morris as well as earlier British satirists like Peter Cook and Spike Milligan. I think a degree of cultural and moral conservatism is inevitable for satire given how institutionalized progressivism is.
