you see this all the time with any sort of personal responsibility environmentalism "poor people can't afford to be vegan/use metal straws/own hybrid cars" as if they aren't middle class people also not doing these things
Whats more it's almost always cheaper to be environmentally friendly. The abnegation of personal responsibility is certainly a hallmark here
