I feel like practically all our humour stems from our prejudices and that, if we did eliminate those prejudices, we might be a little more peaceful, but we'd also laugh a whole lot less

For example, can you even imagine how much comedy would be lost to us if we really went through with fat acceptance? Every Falstaffian figure from literature would cease to make sense

On the other hand, has our relatively newly developed (and justified) disgust toward sexual relations with persons under sixteen years of age stopped us enjoying Romeo and Juliet? (Juliet is fourteen in the play). There are many other examples. Maybe I am wrong on this one
