The teacher I remember best (for her tragic nature) was a socialist who had wound up teaching history at my run-down school. She got basic historical information wrong and was more interested in showing us Ken Loach movies and Habermas articles than teaching the curriculum
She often argued with me - Not about politics because I had no animosity toward socialism; we argued about her teaching methods - Eventually most of the class failed the class and she was eventually fired. There is a lesson here somewhere
