The IRS already does this. It’s called a “Substitute For Return”. And it gives one the worst possible outcome. No deductions, credits, expenses.

This prevents anything better than that. The idea would be a TurboTax-like walk through of deductions, expenses, etc, for free (but not if this passes the senate)
