/ Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her in high school, will testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday. Ford agreed to testify Sunday after a back-and-forth with committee Chair Chuck Grassley.https://bit.ly/2ONZ7sq

/ Ford’s attorneys are still negotiating the specifics, but the hearing is scheduled to take place Thursday at 10 am. Kavanaugh, who has unequivocally denied the allegation, will also testify.

/ A second woman has also come forward with accusations against Kavanaugh. The New Yorker reported on Sunday that Deborah Ramirez says Brett Kavanaugh exposed himself to her during a group drinking game in their freshman year at Yale.https://bit.ly/2xwEScg

/ Kavanaugh has again denied the allegation: “This alleged event from 35 years ago did not happen. The people who knew me then know that this did not happen, and have said so. This is a smear, plain and simple.”

/ These allegations went public Sunday, but Yale classmates of Ramirez and Kavanaugh have been emailing about the incident since July. That’s how reporters Jane Mayer and Ronan Farrow learned about the alleged incident in the first place.https://bit.ly/2xBDQM1

/ At least 600 women who graduated from Yale have signed a letter in support of Ramirez. “We are coming forward … because we have a shared experience of the environment that shaped not only Judge Kavanaugh’s life and career, but our own,” they wrote.https://bit.ly/2xBOjHw

/ But there’s another explosive layer to the latest New Yorker report: Senior GOP staffers reportedly knew about Ramirez’s sexual misconduct allegation last week, and instead of pausing to investigate, they tried to speed up the confirmation process.https://bit.ly/2NZxEXV

/ On top of this, Michael Avenatti, porn actress Stormy Daniels’s lawyer, claims he is representing a third woman with “credible information” about allegations against Kavanaugh. The Senate Judiciary Committee has contacted Avenatti for more information.https://bit.ly/2zrrZ4D

/ These developments are hugely significant. Even in the #MeToo era, lone accusers are often discounted. But Christine Blasey Ford isn’t alone anymore.https://bit.ly/2xBLc2f

/ Whether these allegations will derail Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation isn’t clear. But Republicans can no longer brush them aside as a one-off or a “he said, she said.”https://bit.ly/2OKf9Us
