Clarification: Trump was able to win the election despite losing the popular vote because he clinched narrow wins in key swing states. The Electoral College worked in his favor because it places more weight on swing states and props up smaller states. bit.ly/2Jv189A

If Hillary had won the Electoral College but lost the popular vote, democrats would be praising our election process. The EC was created by our founding fathers to prevent large urban states from always deciding the presidency. It’s not perfect but who wants CA & NY to decide?
