I agree, but if elected will you commit to actually funding Michigan schools adequately or will you follow a party line?

I'll do what I can from a federal level. I'm there to represent the people of the district.

And how do you propose we keep the students AND teachers safe from COVID??

I share your concern for the safety of students and faculty. There are guidelines in place, plus this disease, while deadly for the elderly, does not have the same dangers for students and teachers. I appreciate that we might not agree on this point.

She hasn't delayed the opening of schools for 20-21 school year at all. My child has a disability and needs to be in school as well. But not at the risk of her physical health. I need her alive in order to help her with her autism.

Special needs kids would be some of the first to die if they catch COVID from being at school. But the only lives Republicans care about are fetuses' and major stockholders'. Of course you want to push non-rich kids back into schools and their parents back to work. Shame on you.

Everybody wants the schools to be opened to students in a safe and proper manner. How are you proposing districts pay for new safety guidelines in the midst of current budget cuts? What about families that are scared to send kids to schools?
