Started working on an Erlang version of https://hex.pm/packages/x509
#myelixirstatus
Eventually it will become a dependency of X509, with the latter reduced to a wrapper that deals primarily with records and OID macro imports for Elixir

Just a tiny remark: I also use https://hex.pm/packages/ex_crypto … in my projects and representation of pub/priv keys are a little bit different. That’s not a big problem because I use PEM encoding between those two libraries but it would be cool to have some interop. If not, no prob

One of my design goals is to retain compatibility with :public_key, :ssl and any packages that depend on it (:ranch, :cowboy, Plug, Phoenix), so X509 returns Erlang records where possible

I can tell you that your library - X509 - has saved me from mental insanity: dealing with X509 certificates in Erlang is just … well … insane ! Keep up the excellent work !
