So stoked to meet with our accountant this evening to officially start the process to make #HardenedBSD a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
How I learned about (c)3/6: "Foundation chooses how to spend donation dollars at its sole discretion. That's the deal with 501(c)(3) charities. If you want to pick and choose how your donated dollars are spent, Linux Foundation is a 501(c)(6)" pls don’t be like this I'll donate+

Are you saying you'd prefer one over the other (3 or 6)? If so, which one?

What I'm saying is everyone taking donations should be open about spending; I'm clueless about legalities, I care about openness. IMO simple cost list is enough and gives ppl sense of participating. Your work is extremely important and I'll keep donating whenever I got payed :D
