Electronic communication without trust anchors leads to misinformation on a grand scale. Physical communication (e.g., face to face) has intrinsic trust anchors. But electronic so rapid that trust (e.g., reputation, but more) is often left behind.

Listening to the Breakpoint podcast from circa Jan 27, "Prof George to AG Barr", on the problem of porn, good objective, attack it as a health and safety issue. BUT ... government intervention is stymied by the nature of electronic communication.

And what happens when the government makes a moral judgement? We citizens need non-governmental trust anchors, solid connections with affirming references, people and principles we can really rely on.
